When the M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine is stirred into action underneath the elongated bonnet, the limits between the pit lane and the garage are no longer clear. Its racing genes are unmistakable − the BMW M6 Coupé is bursting with agility and precision in every fibre. The contoured roof lowers the centre of gravity due to its reduced weight, for example − increasing dynamic performance while enhancing efficiency. Competition Package.

An unadulterated racing feel: the Competition package delivers enhanced engine output, more direct steering and a specially tuned suspension to ensure the BMW M6 Coupé brings an even higher level of performance to the road. The output of the M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine jumps from 412 kW to 423 kW. This enhanced performance is achieved by raising the boost pressure in the upper range of revs. The sports exhaust system generates a particularly dynamic engine sound that is destined to thrill. On the racetrack and in everyday use, the specially tuned suspension and extremely dynamic direct steering ensure that every steering command is executed with maximum precision. On the road, the Competition package is guaranteed to turn heads with exclusive 20"" M light alloy wheels featuring Double-spoke style 601 M in Bicolour look with mixed tyres, along with the black, chrome-plated twin tailpipes of the sports exhaust system.

Converts power into amazement: The M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine is the crowning glory of the M power units. Its enormous power of 560 hp (412 kW) and 680 Nm is available at all times thanks to the innovative TwinScroll turbocharging concept and can be further increased to 600 hp with the optional Competition package.
This is possible due to the combination of high engine speeds, turbocharging and technological highlights such as Valvetronic and High Precision Injection. And full torque goes on stream from approx. 1,500 rpm, charting an impressive output curve of virtually linear power delivery −as well as putting a smile on the driver's face. The M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine demonstrates that power and efficiency are by no means mutually exclusive with its intelligent BMW EfficientDynamics technologies such as Brake Energy Regeneration. These make for an average fuel consumption of just 9.9 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres.
